Do you make custom cakes? Yes. Every cake we make is custom made to order from start to finish. Therefore, we do not have any cakes pre-made for sale. How do I order a custom cake? Think about what would be fun, creative, and really say something about the person who you are getting the cake for. Does he or she play any sports? Musical instruments? What are their hobbies? What is your child's favorite cartoon character or toy? Anything you can think of, we can possibly make into a cake. After you have an idea of what you would like, email us at orders@sweetdreamshop.com with the following information: Once we receive all of the necessary information we will email you a price quote. When should I book my custom cake? If your event is on a weekend, we suggest you place your order at least 3-5 weeks in advance since weekends often book up more quickly. What is the pricing for your custom cakes? The minimum price for any cake is $150. The overall price is determined by the complexity of the design along with how much detail and time would go into the construction of your cake. How much will my cake cost? Let's say you are having 30 guests at your party. You would like your cake to be round shaped (either single or two tiered) with a custom design. It will be approximately $180. ($6 per serving x 30 servings = $180) I am having a large # of guests at my party. How could I make my order more cost effective? We would recommend ordering a smaller "display" cake and having an "extra servings" cake to serve the remaining guests. Our Extra Servings cakes are priced at $3.00 per serving. Let's say you are having 80 guests at your party. The "display" cake you have chosen will feed 30 guests and will be approximately $180. You can order extra servings cake to feed your remaining # of guests (50 guests), which will be approximately $150. Your order will total up to $330. $6 per serving x 30 servings = $180 $3.00 per serving x 50 servings = $150 Total for Display/Extra Cake = $330 (compared to $480 for a larger "display" cake feeding 80 guests) $6 per serving x 80 servings = $480. A 50% deposit is required to reserve your date. The remainder is due at least two weeks prior to your event. Payment can be made by cash, check, credit, or debit card. Cake orders placed with less than two weeks notice require payment in full by credit card at the time of ordering. If your event is canceled or postponed, your deposit will be returned in full provided the date is still available. If the date has been closed off (booked completely), deposits are non-refundable. There is no refund on orders canceled within 5 business days of the event date. Are there different prices for any of the cake flavors? No. All of the cake flavors are covered in the price per serving. I have dietary restrictions. Can you help? Unfortunately, at this time we do not offer vegan, sugar-free or gluten-free cakes. Because of our unique flavors and construction nature of our cakes, there isn't much leeway for us to change our recipes. How far do you deliver? We deliver up to 1 hour driving distance from Colma, cA. Is there a delivery charge? Yes. The delivery charge not only covers our time and fuel costs, but set-up as well. Some cakes requiring elaborate set-ups may be subject to an increased set-up and delivery charge. Prices range from $30.00 for local deliveries to $100.00+ for distant deliveries. Do you ship your cakes? No. We do not ship our cakes. |
